The Snohomish School District is located at Snohomish in the state of Washington in USA. It has approximately 30,000 students. It covers an area of 110 sq. miles. It also serves the area where it is located. The school district has 8660 students just this enrollment. Mr. William A. Mester is the school district’s superintendent. The Snohomish School district has a total of 10 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 3 high schools and 3 alternative schools. This district is committed to striving for excellence and molding its students to be responsible and reliable individuals.
The middle schools within the district focus on athletics. Each of the middle school’s football teams participates once a year. The game is called “The Chili Bowl”. The game is from the tradition of the losing team serving chili to the winning team. The district has a “new school” project and is scheduled for completion in the year 2008. The “new school’ will be located at Cathcart way. This so-called ‘new school” is a high school that was named “Glacier Peak High School. The mascot is a Grizzly bear. The school district has also established an elementary school. The elementary school is now open and is called “little Cedars Elementary”. |
