The North Shore School District is approximately 60 square miles of suburban area located in King and Snohomish countries having a population of more than 120,000. The North shore has 30 schools having a population of over 18,500 students making it the 8th largest school district in the state of Washington. Several high technology industries, businesses and higher educational facilities are within the North Shore’s boundary. These include Microsoft, Eldec, ATL, Precor, Quinton Instruments, GTE Northwest, a University of Washington branch campus, a Shoreline Community College Program, and the US Food and Drug Administration Laboratory.
WAN was integrated by North Shore via a routed World Wide Web connection on its educational facilities. North Shore’s k-12 program is a science curriculum incorporated on its educational system as a practical program that makes full use of organizational abstract concepts. The NSSD is committed to nurturing and enriching the students with the delight of learning while enhancing the power of the student’s mind and body.
The North Shore School District offers a number of high school academic programs that includes arts, science, photography lab, mathematics, social studies, technology, language arts, writing center, physical education and health with services on special and remedial education. Having a goal of reaching beyond routine expectations, the NSSD offers an environment and a Guidance Department encouraging to all students who wants a great value from their education.
