The Everett Area School District is located in Bedford Country, Pennsylvania. The ESD covers 300 square miles and provides educational services to at least 1,500 students. Those were of the district’s elementary schools together with the combined middle school and a senior high school. The district provides a warm and friendly environment as well as opportunities for the involvement the students in academic and extra curricular activities. Their students, residents and parents are involved actively in the school’s operations at all levels of the organization through the site based management committee.
The district’s technology initiative is the one providing them of enhanced educational opportunities that includes distance learning, computer applications and a connection to the internet.
On the other hand, The Everett Area Renaissance Foundation (EARF) is tasked to provide support to the school system as well as a reward system of honoring citizenship, achievements, attendance, and leadership among other notable values. The EARF has already received a national recognition including the recent which named the Everett Area High School as one of he country’s top 32 high schools. Currently, Rodney L. Green acts as the superintendent of schools and is a five year contract which was effective July 1, 2005. Mr. Green also served as the Director of Special Education and an elementary principal for 15 years. |
