The San Antonio Independent School District is situated in San Antonio, particularly in the state of Texas, USA. It is 1 of the school systems that is serving the City of San Antonio. The district also serves a portion of Balcones Heights City. It is the 2nd largest district in San Antonio because of its high enrollment figures. SAISD was involved in the case versus Rodriguez. The students are obliged to wear uniforms. They must wear “white-collared” shirts and khaki pants.
Amongst the 5A high schools are the Highlands high Schools. There are 7 4A schools. These are Brackenridge High School
, Burbank High School, Edison High School, Fox Tech High School , Houston High School , Jefferson High School and Lanier High School. The district offers a “Young Women’s academy”. It is an all-girls school that empowers the students to stand out in an environment that can prepare them for college. The district also offers a “free breakfast and lunch” to all its students as well as programs that help prepare the students for their college education. Amongst these programs are the “Advancement Via Individual Determination”, Advanced Placement (which earns credits for students), ChemBridge, Project Phoenix, College Connections, and Project STAY San Antonio. |
