There are an estimated 34,000 students in Clovis Unified school District. It is found in Fresno County in California USA (Northeast of Fresno). The land area of this school district stretches starting from Kings Canyon in the south up to Friant Road in the north. It also stretches from Van Ness in the west up to Academy in the east.
This district is highly regarded. This is because of the commitment and hard work that the people within the community and district make. The staff and other board members are still looking for ways to improve the student’s achievements. The school district has programs to continuously improve the educational standards of the school. Instructional programs are done to emphasize the growth of the intellect that includes knowledge based on facts and the skill to use the knowledge in order to face the demand of a new situation. This is called “understanding and problem-solving”.
Elementary schools within the district has a ratio of 20 is to 1 (student-teacher). Intermediate schools have an “Academic Block Class” that enables the students to be with a teacher for 3 periods in subjects like history, writing and reading. High school students are obliged to meet course and unit requirements throughout the 9th up to the 12th grade. |
